Raleigh Professional

A · Seen in a catalogueRacing lightweightIn confirmed sources: 1970–1978

The 1970 US catalogue offered the Professional Mk II as a limited edition, stating that only 500 would be made that year. Retro Raleighs records the Mk IV as Model DL.180 in 1974, with Campagnolo Nuovo Record derailleurs and a Maillard 13/26T six-speed cluster; the 1976 US catalogue lists the Professional Mk IV and a Professional Track, and the 1978 catalogue the Professional Mark V with Reynolds 531 double-butted tubing and Campagnolo Nuovo Record. Retro Raleighs' chronology gives a 1966 introduction, still to be checked.
