Raleigh's own history of the Burner gives its launch as 1982, with a BMX range of five models; Tony Hadland also dates it to 1982. The Aero Pro Burner followed in 1983 and the Mk2 Burner in 1984 with thirteen new models. The Team Aero Pro became available as a complete bike in 1985, alongside an Andy Ruffell signature edition, and the range continued to 1986.
